I am very excited to be joining the VWHS family this year. My professional experience includes six years in campus administration. I served as the Principal of Rodeo Palms Junior High School in Alvin ISD for three years, two years as the Associate Principal at Alvin High School, and one year as an Assistant Principal at Alvin High School in Alvin ISD. I spent eight years in the classroom as an 8th-grade science teacher and an AP and PAP Chemistry teacher. In addition, I served as a Science Education Specialist for NASA and Region 4 Education Service Center, where I provided professional development, coaching, and curriculum to teachers. My education consists of a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science, a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences, a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences – Chemistry, and my Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. I have also acquired my Principal and Superintendent certification. I am a first-generation college graduate in my family, and it is my primary goal for your student to have every opportunity for their future.
