This week is a dress-up week brought to you by the Senior class! Here's the schedule:
Monday - Celebrity Day: Dress up as someone who inspires you!
Tuesday - Comic Book Day: Become your favorite superhero or even supervillain!
Wednesday - Mismatch day: Wear your wackiest combination of clothes!
Thursday - Time travel day: Dress up as your favorite historical character!
Friday - Anything but a backpack day: Bring your school essentials in anything but a backpack!
Please make sure that all costumes are school appropriate! You may wear hats and wigs, but no spaghetti straps, house shoes, masks, or muscle shirts.
VWHS will be hosting a Yard Sale opportunity on Saturday, April 15th from 8 am to 1pm. If you would like to reserve a spot (10 x 10) to sell your goodies please contact Mrs. Reeder at teresa.reeder@visd.net or 361-788-2830. The cost per space is $30.00. All proceeds will go to students and staff of VWHS. If you are not interested in reserving a space but would still like to participate, we are also taking donations of items to sell as well. We have tables to rent for $10 each, if needed. We will have clubs, organizations and food trucks! Time for spring cleaning and one stop shop to sell your items.

Junior and Senior girls, want to play some flag football? Look on the Yearbook page for information about the newly revived annual West Warrior Powderpuff girls' flag football game on May 5 and the East v. West winners' showdown on May 12 at Memorial Stadium.
Team 9121 Wild West, participated in a UIL Robotics competition in Houston last weekend and won the 2023 Rookie All Star award, the 2023 Highest Rookie Seed Award AND were the Houston District 2023 Winner.

Students are asked to report all scholarships received through the 2023 Senior Scholarship Survey. Students who report their scholarships will be celebrated at the end-of-year awards ceremony. If students fill out the form and then are awarded a new scholarship(s) afterward, they are encouraged to fill out the survey again.

At this time, VISD will have a two-hour delayed start time for all campuses and offices. High school will start at 9:30 am.
