The VISD Advanced Placement (AP) Program recognized high school students who have demonstrated outstanding college-level achievement through their performance on multiple AP exams at the December VISD Board Meeting. 

The College Board recognizes different levels and types of achievement based on student performance on AP Exams. 

AP Scholar with Distinction Award

Eight VISD students qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. These students are:

  • Victoria East High School: Kaden Kolle and Patrick Sisson

  • Victoria West High School: Brodie Bashaw, Gage Majefski, Ashton Rainey, Clayton Sciba, Jr., Sanchit Singhal, and Jaisenne Van Dusen

AP Scholar with Honor Award 

Five students qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. These students are:

  • Victoria East High School: Isaac Lu and Emma Seiler

  • Victoria West High School: Manas Agrawal, Natalie Cook, and Krystal Thompson

AP Scholar Award

Fifty-seven students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more AP Exams with scores of 3 or higher. These students are:

  • Victoria East High School: Caden Allen, Alessandra Aranez, Isabela Benson, Aubriana Benson, Grant Biles, Izabela De La Rosa, Zakariah De La Rosa, Randal Delgado, Ori Ebner, Tal Evans, Kristyn Gaytan, Abigail Keyser, Kristine Koch, Brylie Koopman, Minh-Thu Le, Abby O’Neill, Jazmine Ovalle, Isabella Rosales, Isabella Roth, Christopher Ruiz, Melissa Sanchez, Reese Stastny, Cole Stringo, Tesla Tordt, Geovannie Trevino, Hannah Tyler, Isabelle Wachtel, and Koen Wertman

  • Victoria West High School: John Paul Acosta, Benjamin Adrean, John Andruss, Jeremiah Baldwin, Katherine Bashaw, Michael Bassano, Wyatt Borden, Caroline Cohen, Jacob Fuentez, Samuel Gisler, Laney Glass, Talha Haris, Sydney Harvey, Osvaldo Ledezma, Lizabeth Leos, McKenna Lewis, Gracie Naquin, Brandon Perez, Paul Perez, Lauren Pozzi, Colin Prejean, Branton Rainey, Reid Rangnow, Nicole Reyes, James Robertson, Jakobe Smith, Katie Udd, Gavin Wartsbaugh, and Cassidy Zimmerman

Students who have earned academic honors from the College Board National Recognition Programs were also honored at the meeting. These National Recognition Programs grant underrepresented students with academic honors that can be included on college and scholarship applications and connect students with universities across the country. College Board's four recognition programs include National African American Recognition Program, National Hispanic Recognition Program, National Indigenous Recognition Program and National Rural and Small Town Recognition Program. Colleges and scholarship programs identify recognized students through College Board’s Student Search Service.

  • Victoria West High School: Manas Agrawal, Jeremiah Baldwin, Talha Haris, Sanchit Singhal, and Grace Weiler
