The Victoria ISD Board of Trustees will recognize 11 Victoria West High School seniors during the Thursday, May 21, 2026, regular monthly board meeting for earning their associate degrees from Victoria College before graduating from high school.
The students officially graduated from Victoria College during the college’s commencement ceremony held on Saturday, May 16, 2026. The students will also graduate from Victoria West High School on Friday, May 29, 2026.
Through Victoria ISD’s dual credit opportunities and partnership with Victoria College, students were able to complete college-level coursework while still enrolled in high school, allowing them to earn significant college credit and, in this case, complete an associate degree before receiving their high school diploma.
“These students have demonstrated an incredible level of commitment, determination, and academic excellence,” said Superintendent of Schools Sheila Collazo. “Earning an associate degree while completing high school coursework is a major accomplishment that reflects the opportunities available to students through dual credit programs and the hard work these students invested in their future.”
Victoria ISD continues to expand opportunities that help students prepare for college, careers, and military pathways, allowing them to begin building their post-secondary goals before graduation.
