Victoria ISD is continuing to expand access to attendance information through its Attendance Data Dashboard. The 2025-26 Attendance Dashboard provides real-time views of attendance trends, supporting a shared, data-informed approach to achieving student, campus, and district attendance goals.
“The Attendance Dashboard helps us turn data into action,” said Superintendent Sheila Collazo. “By giving families and staff timely, easy-to-understand information, we can work together to remove barriers, celebrate progress, and keep students present and learning every day.”
The dashboard aligns with VISD’s Showing Up for Excellence attendance initiative for the 2025-26 school year, which aims to raise awareness about the importance of daily attendance, provide support to families, and reinforce legal requirements and consequences related to truancy. Unexcused absences can affect eligibility for participation in school-sponsored events and activities.
“Attendance is one of the strongest predictors of student success,” said Executive Director of Student, Family, and Community Services, Dawn Maroney. “With this dashboard, campuses and families have a shared, real-time picture that supports early intervention and consistent follow-through.”
Attendance Monitoring
VISD incorporates numerous attendance monitoring systems:
The Attendance Data Dashboard gives families a current view of overall attendance and daily averages for VISD and each campus. View the Attendance Data Dashboard: www.visd.net/attendance.
The “Showing Up for Excellence” attendance initiative pamphlet includes an Attendance Tracker tool to track absences. This simple chart makes it easy to monitor attendance and initiate timely conversations with designated campus staff.
The Attendance Commitment form outlines student, teacher, campus, and superintendent agreements for attendance. Families and students are reminded to sign and return the Attendance Commitment form.
The Parent Gradebook system may be accessed to further monitor your child’s daily attendance, grades, and more.
Staying Informed
Knowledge is power. Utilize the VISD weekly School Matters e-newsletter, district and campus social media channels, the VISD website, and campus correspondence to stay informed.
