Victoria Independent School District invites families of current 8th-grade students to attend P-TECH Parent Night on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2025, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Victoria West High School.
This event will provide information about the Education and Training and Computer Science P-TECH programs available at Victoria West High School.
These specialized programs offer students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fields of education and training, along with earning industry-recognized certifications. Through P-TECH, students can begin preparing for careers in teaching, childcare, and other educational pathways while still in high school.
The P-TECH program is open to current VISD 8th-grade students, and applications for the 2025-26 school year are due by Jan. 15, 2025. Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend this event to learn more about the program's benefits and application process.
