CTE Students Recognized During Texas Career Signing Day

Today, Tuesday, May 16, Victoria ISD's Career and Technical Education (CTE) held its Texas Career Signing Day.

Students who plan to continue in post-secondary opportunities in their chosen CTE career pathway through college, university, technical school, military enlistment, or employment were honored at the signing ceremony.

“The students participating in the CTE Signing Day made a commitment 4 years ago to participate in a CTE program of study where they acquired the knowledge and skills necessary to transition to college, career, or the military, and be successful in their chosen career,” said Andrea Pope, VISD Innovations Program Counselor.  “Today we celebrate their accomplishments and future commitments.”

Texas Career Signing Day is a statewide initiative that provides an opportunity to recognize and celebrate high school students choosing to enter career pathways leading to in-demand careers and occupations directly from high school.

Students who are being recognized in the signing ceremony have plans to attend the following colleges, universities, and technical schools:

  • Lone Star College

  • Sul Ross University

  • Texas A&M University

  • Texas Tech University

  • Victoria College

We are #VISDProud of these CTE students!
