I was born and raised in Pleasant Hill, Missouri and I currently live in Edna, TX. My husband and I have three children and four grandchildren as well as our four legged child, Hondo. I graduated from the University of Missouri - Columbia with a Bachelor's of Social Work Degree. I worked as a Social Worker for 14 years before going back to school and receiving my Master's of Teaching Degree from Central Missouri University - Warrensburg. I began teaching Special Education in Belton (MO) School District in 2006.

My husband, Lance, is a School Resource Officer for Jackson County Sheriff's Department working with the Edna ISD. He retired from law enforcement (28 years) in Missouri prior to our moving to Texas in 2014. We relocated to Texas to be near family.

Our oldest daughter, Jaime, and three oldest grandchildren, Katy, Tory and Ayden still reside in Missouri. Our son, Jeremy and his wife Emily also reside in Edna, TX. Jeremy is a Criminal Investigator for the Jackson County Sheriff's Office and Emily is an English I teacher here at VWHS. Our youngest daughter, Brooke, resides in Victoria, TX with her son, Camden. Brooke is the Journalism teacher at VWHS.
