Art 1
For your first year in art the focus is on theme development, compositional skills, exploring a multitude of media, and learning the art-making process.
Course Options: Art 1, Honors Art 1, or Digital Art and Animation.
Art 1
Art I is geared towards students who need to earn a fine arts credit to graduate. Students can select from any fine arts program to fulfill this graduation requirement (band, orchestra, theatre, dance, guitar, floral design, or art).
Honors Art 1
Honors Art I is tailored for students who are passionate about creating art and want to start on the track to take an AP Art class as an upperclassman, like AP Drawing, AP 2-D Design, and AP 3-D Design.
This is a weighted course!
Digital Art and Animation
Digital Art and Animation is tailored for students who are interested in digital media as a route for their creative expression. They will learn digital illustration, 2D animation, as well as photography.
Honors students are required to compete in VASE (Visual Art Scholastic Event) in the Spring.
