Victoria ISD has released the full video of the 2025 State of the District presentation held on November 19 at the Victoria Fine Arts Center. The presentation brought together community partners, business leaders, elected officials, and families to highlight district victories, community partnerships, and the collective vision shaping the future of VISD.

Superintendent Sheila Collazo, in her first State of the District for Victoria ISD, shared updates on student outcomes, new educational opportunities, district financial stewardship, and ongoing efforts to modernize facilities while maintaining a strong focus on safety and student well-being. The presentation also highlighted collaborative work between VISD, Victoria College, and Texas A&M University-Victoria to strengthen the K through college pathway for students in the region.

The State of the District video showcases the district's strategic plan in action, key victories from this school year, and the long-term vision guiding future planning for facilities and student success. The full presentation can now be viewed on the VISD website and Victoria ISD YouTube channel.

“The State of the District is not just a presentation. It is a reflection of the hard work of our students, staff, and community,” said Ashley Alvarez, Executive Director of Communications. This video allows everyone in our community to see our victories and the vision we are building together. Because strong schools mean a strong community.”

The State of the District is a yearly presentation typically delivered at a The Chamber luncheon. This year marks the first time in a decade that VISD has hosted an independently held State of the District event, underscoring the district's commitment to transparency, community engagement, and a shared vision for Achieving Excellence for All.
