At VISD, we are proudly celebrating exceptional academic achievements across all campuses, showcasing the collective effort and commitment that drives our district’s continued success. Based on the Texas Education Agency’s A-F Accountability System, 100% of campuses showed academic growth, 25 state distinctions were awarded across campuses, and there were no failing campuses! This is our district-wide commitment to excellence. In addition, VISD and our high school College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) rates and graduation rates are all A-rated, far exceeding the state’s performance in these areas. This success is a testament to the dedication of our students, educators, families, and community partners who ensure every student is prepared and performing. While our work is evolving, the current momentum and upward trajectory signal that our systems and processes are yielding results.

Attendance and character are foundational to student success. To emphasize this importance, VISD introduced the Attendance Commitment Contract, alongside our Citizenship-Ready Plan, centered on 10 VISD Values that guide our students to become responsible and respectful citizens. We urge you to reinforce and promote these 10 essential values with students to keep them focused on being the best version of themselves now and in the future. Regular attendance ensures every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, and achieve. By committing to this contract, we are partnering to prioritize daily attendance as a non-negotiable step towards excellence. Let’s make this a reality, together.

Our theme for the 2025-2026 school year is “Excellence Begins with Me!” This relentless pursuit of excellence drives everything we do, because when we refuse to settle and consistently raise the bar, our students experience transformative growth. This forward-focused vision on high expectations, excellence, and results is shaping a future where all students thrive as high performing thinkers, problem solvers, difference-makers.

We are privileged to educate VISD students and serve this community, knowing that excellence begins with You, Me, & VISD.

In service,
