Victoria ISD Students Earn Top Honors at Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo School Art Competition
Victoria Independent School District students earned recognition at the 2026 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo School Art Competition, with results announced following judging held on Saturday, January 10, at the Victoria Fine Arts Center.
Following the initial judging, selected finalists advanced to the next round and traveled to Houston for further evaluation. Victoria ISD is proud to recognize the five students whose artwork earned this distinction, along with their teachers, for their creativity, dedication, and hard work. These five artworks will remain in Houston and be displayed at the NRG Center throughout the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, where they will also be eligible for auction consideration.
Prints of the five finalist artworks, along with the remaining VISD finalists, will be reinstalled at the Victoria Fine Arts Center and will remain on display through February 22nd.
In celebration of Youth Art Month, the finalist artworks will then be featured at the Museum of the Coastal Bend beginning in March. The public is invited to attend the Youth Art Month Opening Reception on Saturday, February 28, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the museum.
Victoria ISD Fine Arts programs continue to provide students with meaningful opportunities to showcase their talents beyond the classroom and on prominent regional and statewide stages.
