ยท Competitive Salary and Stipends: VISD offers a starting salary of $49,000 for first-year teachers, with opportunities to earn additional stipends of up to $3,000 for high-need areas such as Math, Science, Bilingual, and Special Education.
ยท Lead Teacher Roles Available: The district is hiring Lead Teachers in Reading Language Arts and Math at select elementary and middle school campuses. These classroom-based leadership roles come with up to an additional $10,000 in compensation.
ยท Earn While You Learn: VISD supports aspiring teachers without certification through a wage-earning, on-the-job certification program for those who hold a bachelorโs degree.
