As part of its ongoing commitment to student safety, Victoria ISD is expanding access to digital safety tools by providing parents with free access to the Qustodio Parent App, a leading online safety solution.
With technology playing an increasing role in children’s education, protecting students online has become a critical priority. VISD devices are already equipped with internet filtering technology that blocks inappropriate web content, as required by federal law. Now, the district is taking the next step by offering parents a Qustodio account at no cost.
“Providing parents with tools like Qustodio strengthens the partnership between home and school,” said Jennifer Wyatt, technology director. “We want families to feel confident that their children are supported as they learn how to build healthy and safe online habits.”
The Qustodio Parent App will allow parents and guardians to:
Manage their child’s screen time
Supervise online activity on school-owned devices
Access expert advice through VISD’s Online Safety Hub
In the coming days, parents will receive an email from Qustodio with instructions to activate their free account. Parents may also register directly by visiting www.qustodio.com/my-school. To connect to a child’s VISD device, families should use the same email address they have on file with the district.
Qustodio prioritizes privacy, safety, and the rights of students and parents worldwide. In addition to monitoring school-owned devices, families also have the option to expand Qustodio services to other devices in their homes.
For more information, parents and guardians are encouraged to attend Stronger Together: Elevating Digital Safety Through Community Resources at VISD Connections Parent University on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025, at 6 pm. Preregister at https://forms.office.com/r/WBQN4jS6a7
