My name is Vanessa Mora and I'm the Choir Director and Fine Arts Department Chair for Victoria West HS. I have a bachelor's degree in Music Education with Vocal Emphasis from Texas A&M Kingsville (Go Hogs Go!!) and I'm working on my Master's in Music Education with Tarleton State University.

Here at West we have a Varsity Treble Choir, JV Treble Choir, and Tenor-Bass Choir where students are given the opportunity to also be in small ensembles, like our barbershop and madrigal groups, and have the opportunity to sing solos at each of our concerts!

**This year, we'll also be adding a musical theater class where students will learn about the history of musical theater, learn vocal solos & ensembles, and prepare the resources and skills they need for a career in musical theater performance.

This is my 11th year teaching (7th at West) and during my time here the choirs have earned Division 1 ratings at UIL Concert & Sight-Reading, made the TMEA All-State Choirs, All-Region Choirs, and received Outstanding Soloist at Texas State Solo & Ensemble Contest.
