Greetings,

My name is Jacob Halama, but most of you know me as Mr. H.  I have the distinct pleasure of teaching Psychology and World Geography this year. I am a coach for  VWHS UIL academics (If you are interested in competing please let me know). This will be my fifth year as a teacher at Victoria West!  Prior to becoming a teacher at West, I worked as an AVID tutor under Keith Morgan for three years.  My path to becoming a teacher was an unconventional one as I graduated from college with a degree in Business Administration.  After many years of owning my own baking business where I specialized in 3-D cakes and wedding cakes and a stint in the private sector working in a management capacity, I realized that teaching was where my true passion is. When I am not working, I enjoy playing/recording music and collecting basketball shoes. I have a passion for basketball and my favorite team of all time is the late 90's Miami Heat with Tim Hardaway, Alonzo Mourning and Dan Majerle.
