  • HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) is an extracurricular club available to all VWHS students.
  • HOSA students will participate in community service projects, fundraisers, and field trips.
  • Students who join will qualify to compete in state and national HOSA competitions, but it is not required for membership. Competitions will require travel and a HOSA uniform.  The competition uniform consists of black slacks, black dress shoes, a short or long sleeved button down oxford shirt, and the official HOSA tie.  Competition uniforms only need to be purchased if you intend to compete.
  • The mission of HOSA is to enhance the delivery of compassionate, quality health care by providing opportunities for knowledge, skill and leadership development of all health science education students, therefore, helping the student meet the needs of the health care community.

  • HOSA officers are elected based on their ideas and their passion and commitment to serving.
  • HOSA is a STUDENT lead club, established to build strong LEADERS in the medical field.
  • OFFICERS are responsible for planning, setting up, and running all meetings, community service projects, socials, and events.  Officers are only allowed to miss up to two HOSA meetings per year.
  • SPONSORS are only present to guide and supervise.

HOSA T-shirt = $15.00/year
